Our client is a global multi-strategy, multi-manager investment platform that is seeking an exceptionally talented & experienced Data Engineer to join their elite investment team.


As a Data Engineer you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust data infrastructure, with a focus on automation, accessibility, quality, and scalability. You will work closely with the quantitative researchers to facilitate cutting-edge research & trading:

  • Contribute to the design & implementation of data processing and storage infrastructure.
  • Create software libraries & enriched datasets that unlock research & LLM capabilities.
  • Automate the scheduling & deployment of research projects into our live trading systems.
  • Rigorously ensure data quality via automated & ad-hoc analyses.
  • Create dashboards that cover the full lifecycle of our data to drive strategy decisions.
  • Build and maintain ETL & ELT pipelines to facilitate data onboarding.


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Data Engineering experience, preferably in a data-oriented multi-disciplinary team.
  • Highly proficient with Python and SQL.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Thorough attention to detail in data analysis & data engineering.
  • Strong project ownership and an aptitude for learning & understanding business domains.
  • The ability to prioritize work & focus on impactful results.


Preferred:

  • Experience with cluster compute (Spark, Dask, etc.) and orchestration (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect)
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehouse technologies (Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)
  • Experience within a quantitative trading firm/hedge fund or experience with timeseries/market/alternative data.
  • Experience working with LLM, machine learning, or NLP data pipelines/processes.
